Hallelujah

I have heard of moms texting their friends, announcing on blogs, facebook, etc. etc. that their baby slept through the night. But of course I wasn't going to be one of those moms. HA. Until TJ slept 8 hours STRAIGHT in his crib last night. 8 HOURS STRAIGHT. It only took 5 and half months, but hey, I am just happy for last night. I never thought that would ever happen. And it might not ever happen again. But it did last night. Now off to the roof top, so that I can shout the good news...

TJ's Fifth Month

Another month has come and gone, and TJ is growing faster than ever. Anything he can get his hands on goes straight to the mouth, and anything I try to feed him he gobbles right down. This month he tried oatmeal baby cereal, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, applesauce, and soy formula, all for the first time. Loved each and every one.

TJ attended his first tailgate this month- the LSU vs. UF game. Mmmmm.... low country shrimp boil. I have no clue where TJ gets his love for food. After the tail gate Kim and Stace watched TJ so that Trent and I could go to the game. Craig and Cassie drove all the way from Texas to watch the game, and it was so good to see them there. Our friends, Truman and Sarah were also in town for the weekend and spent two nights with us. One of those nights we went to Five Guys Burgers and Fries at 2 am. Needless to say it was a busy weekend and I didn't get much sleep...

So I called my mom and she dropped everything and came down to let me sleep while she woke up to fed TJ his midnight snacks. We can call this Mom-to-the-rescue-Monday, part I.
I have no clue why TJ thinks he needs a burger milk, at 2 in the morning.

My mom eventually had to go home, and my over-tiredness turned into some sort of flu. Body aches, headaches, sore throat, a low grade fever, but mostly just body aches. Looking back I am wondering if my body was just aching from carrying around this little chunk every day.

I don't think I have a picture of Mom-to-the-rescue-Monday, part II, but it happened, I was probably too sick to take a picture. She took me home with her that week because she thought I needed to get out of the house. And what better way to spend a day out of the house than to go shopping in Thomasville, Georgia? Since TJ weighs a ton I was sick with the flu, my mom strapped TJ to her with the baby bjorn and a-shopping we went. She bought him this cute little plush gator which will one day be that toy that he carries around with him everywhere. I will make sure of that.

Twins. Except Trent's face is long and narrow, and Trent Junior's is not.

Oh wow, she's back. But this time she brought an adorable side kick who also likes cute plush gators. See, TJ is just going to love that thing when he gets older, I already know it.

At the Rosen Shingle Creek.
We went down to Orlando with the intention of taking TJ to Disney World for the first time. But we fell in love with the secret Travelocity hotel that we booked and decided to take advantage of the amenities. After resting by the pool, walking along the golf course on the "nature trail" and looking for gators from the fishing dock we decided to make our way to Disney. But on the way we had to stop by the outlets to buy TJ a mickey shirt. We found a mickey shirt but while we were there we had to go into this store, and that store... Thirty stores later we were exhausted and headed home.

He preferred to ride around like so.

To finish off the month we went to the Micanopy corn maze with Kim, Stace, and Julian, the twin dino. The corn maze was a blast. Trent took off with TJ, who was asleep in the stroller, while the rest of us tried to keep up. For a minute I was worried we wouldn't be able to find them, but of course we did, and one turn later we found a secret exit and proceeded to take pictures of our matching dinos, which are featured in my previous post.

And since Kim was behind the camera in all the other pictures, here she is!
